First album is deliberately no best of, but has a topical limits, namely love songs. However, at least three quarters of Tina Turner Lyrics should deal with this issue, which is why the distinction is less clear-cut. Meant were rather slow and ballad numbers that clearly are here in the majority - but "Ballads" would make it even less, because of the rock numbers "The Best" and "River Deep". Overall, therefore, a somewhat arbitrary choice of songs, which is just more likely to appeal to the friend of Tina's gentler side.
This means that the second question is answered, in effect, who looks for a comprehensive best-of, is wrong here and should stick to "All The Best". Otherwise, the overlap with "Love Songs" with 12 of 18 titles still in the acceptable range, especially "All The Best" is significantly more expensive as a double CD.
As a competitively priced collection of songs rather slower title is "Love Songs" So quite decent through, the skin a chair that terrible. For at least one new song should have been on it - or, if that is not already in the range of what is possible, at least the horny Album Version by sensational "Let's Stay Together" and not the Single Edit ...
