This album sounds more mainstream as one of Tori is usual when one compares it with previous, tougher plants as "Little Earthquakes" or "Boys For Pele". It might be due to the flawless production, but this incredible compositions and melodies, which can be a delight to stop! At first listen, I had a little disappointment fight. After all, the 18 (!) Pieces are as mentioned above a bit more mainstream breathed, but still flutschen not as buttery into your ears as the successor to "The Beekeeper", so that for most of the songs initially very similar. The length (Tori is not stingy with songs, but there are in addition to the well-deserved five stars still a big plus) makes it a not necessarily easier. But the third or fourth attempt, as I was able to hum and sing along here and there, I was enchanted. I can not understand some of the negative reviews. How many albums with 18 songs and no weakness there is still to buy the music market? The only expendable Track my humble opinion might "Virginia", although there are people who call him as their favorite.
My absolute favorites:
Amber Waves
A sorta fairytale
Your cloud
I Can not See New York
Mrs. Jesus
Scarlet's Walk
Gold Dust
