Deluxe Edition makes its name

Undoubtedly, the refined and remastered reissue of the first two Smashing Pumpkins albums ("Gish" and "Siamese Dream") is one of the most interesting Deluxe Editions, which has brought in special editions not just poor in 2011. Just as with the also highly recommended complete edition of the Smiths, the creators have really considered something and produces a clear added value:

"Siamese Dream" is an album to which hardly a friend of the alternative guitar mainstream 90s has traveled. Especially in the German-speaking countries, the Smashing Pumpkins have earned quite a loyal following, as reflected in the many interesting reviews here. Thus, I do not want to lose the songs on "Siamese Dream" many unnecessary words and assume that they are generally known.

Content, the Deluxe Edition comes with a jam-packed with outtakes and alternate takes second CD - anything but half-baked! In an additional DVD concert recordings can be admired showing the Smashing Pumpkins on the (for me) the amount of their work.

Sound-wise falls on positive that the album was remastered in fact, with a lot of feeling. Unlike most reissues known albums was not easy brachial set to "Loudness", and listening is a real and not a dubious. Who looks at the individual tracks with an audio program, will find that almost 100% has a sound level - a fact that is the sound of the early Pumpkins more than justice in my opinion.

The CDs themselves come in a glittering Kartonbox therefore (which is somewhat difficult to open). Therein hide next to the three recordings still an interesting booklet and cards with the lyrics - all in all an unemotional, but beautiful and dignified appearance.
