Design & Processing:
The design of the shaver is very simple, modern and looks consistent. Matt black on the back and black piano finish on the front, look chic. The Light Blue I find very appropriate. In addition, the Aqua Touch has a rubberized surface on the front, so that it can not easily slip out of your fingers. The processing affects quality except for a few little things. The edges of the individual components fit for example in places not quite together and stand over. When cleaning the razor is noticeable that something was saved with color in coloring the inside of blue razor head.
That's all not so bad and has nothing to do with shaving per se, but falls upon closer viewing on nonetheless.
To try a change of blades I have the razor once removed and reinstalled. If only I had left it rather. Quite a hassle, until everything back together. The only marginally.
Shave:
The main theme, the shave. The Aqua Touch is shaving comfortably in your hand and the three caps automatically adapt to the facial skin. This really succeeded. "Great Skin Protection" meets thus perfectly to the shaver. I just been cut a single time! Since I used a normal razor before Aqua Touch had to get used to the change of shaving my skin. Had the first few times, some red spots and pimples. But that seems to be normal and now, after two weeks, no symptoms occur more.
Since the Aqua Touch also advertises with "Wet & Dry" I tried the same times with "Dry". Go quickly, shaving is however mixed. The skin then feels in my opinion quite dry.
I still prefer wet shaving. Feels better, smoother and more beneficial than the dry shaving. But is "a matter of taste"!
But with the wet shaving, I notice that it takes quite a bit of shaving cream. If there is not enough applied to wet skin, the razor glides not so good on the skin and stops now and then abruptly. This is different than with my razor.
The result of the wet shave with the Aqua Touch is OK! I had to repeatedly shave over the same places, and always remain below the chin a few residual stubble return, no matter how I use it instead. Around the mouth and on the cheeks, the shave is very good though!
It is compared to my razor slightly faster, but not as thoroughly. (I have a "Gilette Fusion ProGlide")
Cleaning:
Really very easy to clean the device. After shaving to clean the Aqua Touch in running condition for a few seconds under running water. After you open the flap of the razor head and flushes the hardly available residual shaving away. Really great and easy. The water runs down out of the charging socket. However, some remnants of the shaving accumulate the white points below the three, rotating to black components in the razor head. Not bother us, but also does not look very nice. With the included brush can remove the remaining hair very well.
Battery life:
The battery lasts really long my feeling. Have the unit now two weeks in use do not want to make (about every third day) and so really limp the Aqua Touch. This really is a big plus!
Scope of supply:
- Razors and cap
- Quick Start Guide
- A comprehensive product description and warranty certificates
- Small bristle brush
- Charger
Conclusion:
In a nutshell, I'm going back to my "Gillette Fusion ProGlide shaver". The Aqua Touch does not offer me enough benefits to make up mainly the price difference of more than 50 can. But if you like electrically shaved, is certainly well served with this razor. If necessary, it would still make sense, the more expensive version with "trimmer" to buy if you want to trim his sideburns.
