- The engine problem I see as not resolved, even with newer models. Our was purchased directly in February at Philips Online Shop and was the latest version (HR1874 / 70), yet came after 4 weeks smoke out of the housing bottom. Was unhesitatingly replaced within 2 days by a new unit.
- The device is not leaking. But I understand how you manage the water quote "out of every crack runs" through
a) to use the rinsing functions without sieve
b) one runs tilts water in the appliance without the motor.
Then really comes across on the side of the water out.
Philips:
++ Significantly easier to clean by rinsing functions and inverted colander
+ With prewash after use lands except for small traces of complete pomace in the collecting ring
+ Citrus Tower
- Unit has been exchanged already due to engine failure
- No drip stop
- Kept very bulky with accessories
Siemens:
+ Much quieter and better-sounding engine than Philips.
+ Buttery smooth speed switch
+ Drip Stop
- Keien juicer
- No rinsing functions
- Much more expensive to clean as everywhere sticks of pomace, in the container, be scratch the plastic cover, etc. Must
Despite the engine problems we have remained at the Philips because the cleaning when Siemens was impractical. Since it is already a few minutes with busy after use, when Siemens still clearly longer. And that even though the device is technically significantly better motor and annoying at the Philips missing drip stop.
Therefore Siemens 4 *; Philips 5 *
