Intrinsically, there has active noise reduction. Upon activation, we feel that the ambient noise is attenuated. The active reduction is much room for improvement: it reduces outside noise, but adds another sound, lighter, but permanent.
Where it is not happening is when compared with other headphones, purely passive. I compared with Philips SHL8807 (Philips SHL8807 foldable headband headphones for iPod cable 1.2 m White), and the comparison is not flattering to the Tinteo. Yeah, the Tinteo has a deplorable isolation, so the attenuation of active noise does not serve much good!
Light ambient noise (PC fan a bit noisy next door office with a lot of gear a little farther away): it is clear, Philips is better, better it insulates the user.
Noise pronounced (large calculator, plane): one feels good treatment of Tinteo with outside noise attenuated and added noise. Finally obtained a sound level at best comparable to that of Philips, but with a different sound.
Finally, the plane is the Philips I kept on the ears ... For me, it is therefore a failure to Tinteo, I will return to this step.
