There are some protective cover on the market, but this is simply überflüssgig.
One can certainly not expect anything for almost 16 grand. When setting up the iPad and tap it sometimes happens that the lid does not hold true and the iPad tip over, super. I have a Xperia Z Tablet and had bought the Poetic Slimline Case for Sony Xperia Z Tablet from Amazon.co.uk, which is also available for Ipad (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Poetic-Slimline-Generation-Manufacturer-Warranty/dp/B00CW1N6R4/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1420801891&sr=1-1&keywords=Poetic+Slimline+Case+ipad). The price is almost the same as that user experience is 100 times better.
