To get to the point and the reason why I only 3 stars Rentals of Actionpro: From my shots I make "ambitious" videos. Not only in sports, but right through life. I had left me that there is a setting with 100fps in PAL 720p mode. The is also available, and so that is also in the description. However, what is not there is the fact that this recording mode is automatically converted into a slow-motion view. This is of course fatal. I need the high frame rate to create Timeramps, or even to generate smooth slow-motion scenes in post at will - not of the whole recording. Too bad too bad. For me this 100fps mode is simply unusable.
Small side note yet: The lens cap was stuck so that I could just gently pry off with a screwdriver. I had to throw it away then, because she was so thin and at the same time tight that you could not continue to use. Thank God I had my GoPro returned a cap that fits on the Actionpro.
Otherwise, I am once satisfied with the part and will keep it.
Update on 02/05/2015:
After another detailed practical application and then 1: 1 compared to an already somewhat aged GoPro I come to the conclusion that I still send back the Actionpro. The reasons are as follows:
The 1080p mode is completely inadequate in the image quality. Whether in 25fps or 50fps in - there are strong washouts in the presentation, very well seen in trees or leaves. Then I had the cam once packed into the housing. So what is being offered at opening mechanism, borders on insolence. I'm not very clumsy, have pretty slender fingers, but when you open I broke almost the same. Please Who developed such a thing? When I then even after almost every shot my finger on the screen had (trigger front next to the lens) was my decision firmly: Return to Sender. Too bad. The alternative GoPro4 Silver is almost twice as expensive. Well then. After my failure with the 3+ I'll risk it again.
Depreciation on benevolent 2 stars.
