With a basic frame a little "abracadabranteque" rehashed and about as time travel, one could wonder what this novel go bring back. And (good) surprise was total! Wilson offers a humanistic reflection, mixing SF, thriller and science particularly relevant pollitico-economic considerations. The cynical anti-hero of the book is amazing. The novel is beautifully written (in first person) in a tone both ironic and disillusioned. SF frame is almost recessed to allow the author to develop the characters and relationships caused by extraordinary events that exceed. This work can clearly appeal to a wide audience, even if he is not a fan of SF.
