Positives:
- Chic design in "Apple style" with 4 charging status LEDs
- Dimensions for the rather high capacity (eg Trekstor Power Bank has only 2200 mAh)
- Brilliant 3-in-1 Magic Cable here, also charges iPod / iPad / iPhone (no Lightning)
Negatives:
- Relatively expensive
- The advertised throughout 3000 mAh are loud imprint "min 2850 mAh"
- Advertised 2A output current doubtful (see below)
- Does not load each tested device (see below)
Practical tests:
I tested the unit on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which has a 1750 mAh battery. Charge level 10%, Smartphone on (screen), but turned no additional consumers like GPS, WiFi, mobile data or Bluetooth. During the time it was so only in standby, without the phone calls. First conspicuousness: charging indicator shows only "USB" on, instead of "AC". With alleged 2A output current it should load loosely in the fast AC mode as from the socket. Unfortunately is not the case. Here, the charging process:
Initial situation: 10%
After 1 hour: 35%
After 2 hours: 61% (Powercell still shows 2 LEDs)
After 3 hours: 90%
After nearly 4 hours full (Powercell even 1 LED)
Have the Power Cell then plugged directly into my iPod nano, where they then after a few minutes underlined the sail. But enough for at least a complete charging of the Nexus. Not bad, though a bit slow. But it also looks at how inefficient is something, since the 2850 mAh enough only for 90% of the 1750 mAh battery (both 3.7V, plus of course the Standbyverbauch in time). I wanted to do the test with a Samsung Galaxy S Duos, unfortunately, the device could not load it. It teamed up absolutely nothing. Even the leaves again strongly doubt the statement of 2A.
Therefore, a final conclusion is difficult. Appearance and size like very much. The 3-in-1 Magic Cable is basically simply brilliant, but it has Apple Dock Connector, Mini USB and Micro USB in one. However, the technical data - which are indeed quite particularly pointed out by the manufacturer - seem to me at least somewhat dubious part. That does not load the Galaxy S Duos let the Nexus only in USB mode is also annoying. iPods and other hand work can also be super easy upload several times (Nano). An iPad 1 also ran what the problems with the charging current could possibly explain to a special Samsung thing, but the Samsung easily be loaded with any universal USB power adapter, so it should also go with this. I do so to me with an appropriate rating not easy, but 3 star should be the overall impression justice. More are not in it for the luxury price and the full-bodied promises of the manufacturer.
Alternative: 2200 and buy Trekstor Power Bank 3-in-1 Magic Cable separately. Comes currently at around 36 euros. The Samsung charging problems are there by the way but also not better. For cheaper;)
