This unit can and apparently EVERYTHING !!!!

Before I start here to sing my praises, I have a little something to indicate that robs this device over to a star.
That is the missing manual. There is a short assembly instruction and a brief introduction in which jack which cable belongs (this should have been able to really give, however). But otherwise it's nice left to themselves. Even a search on the Internet has so far been unsuccessful.
But there are a few things I would like to re-read because they do not open up to me on its own. I would like to, for example, what to know about the various sound pre-sets. Or the configuration of the remote for the TV gleaned precisely (as it is described in the menu).

But the device itself:
You get a huge Carton in which all elements are packed separately in Styrofoam. So transport damage should rarely happen here.
After I had unpacked everything kept my son a square box up and asks what it is. In idea just how busy I get the cables for the surround speakers on the other side of the room, I could not answer this question only once.
As it turned out later, was the receiver for the wireless transmission of sounds to the surround speakers. That is in itself absolutely the hammer.
If you have installed and connected (which is simple because every cable has a colored male who comes into the appropriate colored socket), the system is calibrated with the supplied microphone. Everything Also it works flawlessly, comfortable and fast.

Up to this point everything was easy to carry out. Up to this point there was even a guide. Now you find yourself in the Home menu again, which looks exactly like all other Sony devices. Be a Sony TV, PSP, etc.
I think with the Sony BDV-N9100WB has left nothing out in Puncto connectivity. Connected via wireless LAN to the home network, and you have access to countless online offers, wie.zB max cathedrals, LOVEFiLM, almost every TV channel offers online content (eg Tagesschau). These are just a few possibilities. The choice seems endless. If you have an account with the Sony Entertainment Center you can also music to grab movies streamed.
You can connect a flash drive via USB, so you can also view photos on your TV. Oh yes, FM radio will also.
I have certainly not yet discovered everything. Where a lot with only one account to work properly.

Oh, of course you can also watch DVDs and BDs. And sure enough the DVDs a trace appears on the Sony player again sharper and more brilliant than on my DVD player. We need on the quality of BDs here nothing to say. On which of course is brilliant. (I am not a pixel counter, but do rejoice in a sharp image). In the absence of 3D-enabled TV, I could not test the 3D function.
With the sound I need to make friends with under something. For movies with Dolby Surround is absolutely great. All boxes work clean but not too exaggerated. The subwoofer gives the film a healthy volume and grumbles even really starts if need be, without rumble ugly and you have to fear for his glasses in the cupboard.
In music, however, I must say that I know the sound is sometimes a little bit too shallow. While there are several options for adjusting the sound, but none gives the music a full sound experience. As yet relatively small boxes can not keep up with HIFI boxes.

Conclusion:
A device class in a (for my taste) fancy design. The image quality leaves nothing to be desired. The sound quality even in the film. Merely listening to music is good the device for sound fetishists only conditionally.
I will now with the incredible number of possibilities offered by this device, continue playing and am curious what still awaits me everything.
(I should even put a slice of ham into the DVD tray. Let's see if then a toast Hawaii comes out ?! ;-) I think so!)
