As the name suggests is Undead Nightmare nothing more than the intersection of the classic Red Dead Redemption with the setting in recent years again schwerstens trendy genre of zombie apocalypse ... who so on films such as John Romero, role playing as Deadlands or books like that of David Moody (Autumn) or Max Brooks (World War Z) is served here first class. The West of Red Dead Redemption has been overrun by the undead, and then the player must, again in the role of John Marston, shooting through a survival horror nightmare.
As explained: This is an addon. In this respect, one should not expect you hereby again as much time is spend with how Red Dead Redemption itself. Undead Nightmare is rather something that you prepare some enjoyable evenings.
Playful Undead Nightmare is therefore somewhat one-sided (many missions and tasks are alike) but ultimately what is logical, as the game has a clear focus ... namely the struggle for survival. It is not a question to be rich nor to accumulate status, it does not have the wealth of options as in Red Dead Redemption, but you are fighting for overran villages, destroyed the undead in the graveyard and look for survivors - and of course a reference to the solution of the Zombie -Pest.
Who on the playful elements in the last paragraph mentioned has no desire needs Undead Nightmare not to keep in mind - much more is not there. The playful freedom of the main game If, therefore, of course, in vain. But who wants, "Dawn of the Dead" is to play Red Dead Redemption meets in my opinion serves top notch. The overall implementation of the thread that is very atmospheric and playful enormously entertaining succeeded. The atmosphere is great (the orphaned towns are always oppressive), and the Action is the genre reasonably abundant apocalyptic. The only restriction is probably here that the battles are pretty simple.
All in all Undead Nightmare is a solid in every respect tip for fans of zombie apocalypses - one may alelrdings not expect hereby again to get a week-long game experience as the main game, but must see Undead Nightmare just as Addon ... and here It is a simply terrific fun!
