It makes no difference whether the LED is turned off or not, also varies the Pfeiton in the volume and that both devices.
The sound can best be compared with it when someone turned up on the tap - water pipe noise in the wall - or if you have a water bottle with carbon dioxide not turned off properly - hiss -.
The pipes also does not always come immediately if you have it plugged in, but only as in my case, after 1 - even if you put 2 hours as if anything need to charge in order to develop this sound the device only in the outlet and Connected to each other, without Lankabel or plug, it is always the same, the whistle comes, sometimes louder quieter times.
