So here's to all the DUE-TO LOUD fan and complainers: The (admittedly not necessarily quiet) noises do not come from some fans, but from the DVD drive. This turns namely with 16x speed, so that performance data can be reloaded during the games quickly and without delay. Without packed game, so in the dashboard, the 360 is quieter than the old XBOX. So if you want you make an image to which noise is, packs a DVD5 into your PC DVD-Rom LW and brings it to 16-fold rotational speed. Then you have exactly the same noise.
AND: The comparison with Sony PS3 lagging tremendously because the packing density of a Blu-ray Disc is much higher than that of a DVD (25 GB to 8 GB with the same media size), which is why the Blu-ray drive compared to DVD drive can rotate more slowly, to load a defined amount of data in a defined time period.
So people who do not submit such a notorious Lousy Petern spoil the fun, because fun there on the 360 well enough (my favorite for single player: Kameo). The 360 is a great console, which makes me already for almost a year a real joy. It also provides graphics and effects that I was allowed to see any PC game to an even, high-end PC or not.
And a still respect the general HD Ready madness:. Is a prerequisite for a visually impressive display is not necessarily a 720p / 1080p HD Ready TV. I play on a plasma with 480p resolution and am always impressed again on's New.
