1. Womanizer - 10/10
The first song on the album is also the first single and now has him probably every heard. The song is pure Electtro-dance-pop and makes it clear that Britney is back and means business. The song is an absolute catchy and I believe there is no one who can not sing it after the first listen.
2. Circus - 10/10
The title song of the album will be the second single and is in my opinion one of the higlights on the album. The song has everything a perfect Britney song needs: super intro, great verses, perfect Bridge, a great chorus and a firecracker dance break. Britney describes here as a performer and how she feels when she takes the stage.
3. Out From Under - 9/10
A very nice ballad, produced by Guy Sigsworth, who was also involved in "Everytime". Britney sings of a failed relationship that is not forgotten even long after the end. The song is poignant and seems very personal.
4. Kill The Lights - 10/10
This song reminds probably most of "Blackout", what does it matter that it was produced by Danja, who penned half of the songs comes on "Blackout", such as "Gimme More" and "Break The Ice". The song is an absolute cracker, with hot beats and great lyrics. Britney sings about the game with the paparazzi, similar to "Piece Of Me", but here makes it clear that she does not care about the paparazzi and also does not rely on it. The first verse begins with "You do not like me, I do not like you, it do not matter / Only difference, you listen quietly, I do not have to." Britney sings all with a incredibly great attitude that is not to some extent reminiscent of the RoboBrit voice from the previous album.
5. Shattered Glass - 9/10
Too bad that this song is so short ... For he is really great! He is very like the old Britney and especially on the song "Cinderella" from their third studio album. The song is very pop on the one hand, on the other quite gloomy. Super mix!
6. If You Seek Amy - 10/10
Britney meets her first hit producer Max Martin and the result is great! The song is an absolute blast and the verteckte Embassy in the chorus "All of the boys and all of the girls are begging to FUCK Me" remains one immediately in the ear. Britney's voice is here much like their old and towards the end we even hear some very nice Adlips, a la "Baby One More Time" and "Oops ...".
7. Unusual You - 10/10
This song is my personal favorite. It was produced by Bloodshy & Avant, the creators of "Toxic" and "Piece of Me". Britney sings this song quite deep, sounding so "fragile" (in a good way) that the song a touched immediately, even if it is actually a mid-tempo electro-pop number is.
8. Blur - 8/10
This song was re-produced by Danja, but does not sound after all his other stuff. The song is quite melancholy and describes the morning after, similar to the song "Early Morning" on the album "In The Zone". The song is taken from Britney's super low register sounds to me but sometimes a bit too monotonous.
9. Mmm Papi - 7/10
From this song I'm not a big fan, and in my opinion, should have been replace by the bonus tracks him songs against a ... The song is very cheerful and a hymn to all Latino lovers. You can hear the Britney Sehl fun, enjoy taking this song had, but it will definitely not please everyone ...
10 Mannequin - 10/10
An absolute highlight for me. Production wise this song is far ahead of his time. So I would imagine, "I'm A Slave 4 U", recorded in 2049. The song has jar juicy beats and excited immediately to dance, in coming performances of this song will definitely be there and encourage the audience to marvel.
11. Lace & Lather - 9/10
At first me this song has not so much fallen, now I find him but great! It sounds very much like '80s retro pop and Prince.
12 My Baby - 8/10
As the title suggests, Britney wrote this song for her children. He is very sad because he without her two young is the time ... Her voice here sounds really great and fits perfectly with the theme of the song. Very poignant and soulful.
13 Radar - 10/10
This song was already on "Blackout" on it. Much, therefore, I'm not going to write about it, except that I love the song and find that it fits really well on "Circus".
14. Rock Me In - 7/10
This song is not bad, but is definitely not one of my favorites on the album and I think it is well suited as a bonus.
15. Phonography - 10/10
This song would have on the standard part tracklist, because it is just great! Once again an awesome electro-pop number in which Britney's voice sounds so sexy that you would always be happy with your "Phonography" have (a synonym for phone sex ...).
Conclusion: 9/10
Britney has really delivered with "Circus" a perfect album! For me it's far their best work. The album is produced super and contrary to "blackout", it reflects Britney again. You can tell how much she has been working on each song and especially the presence of her voice makes the whole an absolute pleasure. The album is very (electric) trendy, yet has all the right places a gwissen R'n'B influence. In short: The "Circus" is coming to town! Make sure you join it ...
