1) The) is present the DSA rules only in the approach (as well as the naming of Proverbs etc should be known. I like the "new" system outstanding! Example: Force values range from 1-100 (100 = Master) and the Increase of the values is always more expensive. Spells have continued to level 1-4 and are similarly maintained as in part 1. There are also almost the same magic.
The special maneuvers and talents are still present but the way this increase is now somewhat different - but great!
2) The game is HYPER-Easy - unfortunately :( All that as I can always rather play on normal hesitation stellen.Die on Hard difficulty some fighting has hardly ever "military" background but (unfortunately only very rarely - Best For the desperate Battle t hard against the adamant I had to start 4-5 times ...) is that you have to solve in parallel with the fight the logic of the "mystery" (for example, switch-puzzle) and thus gets into time pressure and by repeated rebooting the right strategy needs to find out.
But nearly 90% of the fighting one creates - not least the fact that you just still can take some mercenaries in addition to his own hero in the fight), playing with a yawn on the lips.
When I think back, as I did in BG1 almost ALWAYS the last drink, the last poison - had just tickled out of all the last to have the slightest chance, usually normal in difficulty - very often on EASY !!! ...! Here at BG2 I always play on hard and verbrate almost never even a potion, a trap - simply do nothing. Languishes everything around in a backpack - a pity.
It was totally playful the brilliant potential that the game could have had, you would have 2-3 months longer fiddled on "Balancing".
3) Finally is also English speech offered so you no longer have to listen to this typical DSA pompous gibberish of characters (only Naurims voice & way of talking was tolerable in Part 1 - the other Bubis were just ridiculous)
=> Including the shows (like the ridiculous difficulty) that you, like most mainstream games (which is probably here def. Not ...), more will be oriented to the broad mass of the ID rule with frustration factors no longer clearly come and cry if a fight did not even work right the first;)
4) fights much more complex (though as I said simple) etc as in Part 1 (seen from the size of the fight scene from as well as the possibilities of interaction with the environment). What you would need A LOT more to bring (as in part 1) in succession following fights are WITHOUT regenerating the characters in between ... just the difficulty had indeed identified in Part 1, and there is no longer here :(
Despite everything, a nice little game which is recommended especially by the great value for money, but those who seek the challenge and not to howl tends: D: D is better off with part 1!
