I secure data often lately my systems on DVD, I wanted to a known product change and have ordered Nero12. The installation provided with the necessary conditions, to utilize the Nero12, at least in theory. After the requirement was created for installing Nero12, I have the actual installation initiated, which also went through without any error messages. Once installed, the system reboots and I wanted to then work with Nero12, but now the program allegedly missing file "ATL100.DLL". I was looking for information, and found out that already Nero11 had the same problems, the software is defective and not out of the box can be used! The error should according to information in the forum, at least for Nero11, lie in a lack of Visual C ++ 2010 However, this had already been installed as a prerequisite for Nero12. The target file was finally under C: \ Windows \ System32 in the latest version, incl SP1..
An inquiry at Nero Support then cleared up the matter, it is a pure 32bit application, automatic installation of the pre-conditions but since a 64bit system is detected, the 64bit version installed by Visual C ++ 2010, which in turn led to an error at the start of Nero. The 32bit version of Visual C ++ 2010 can be installed in parallel, then Nero works.
After Nero has now directly or reported, I leave it at 1 star deduction! The 1 star because the installation of the necessary preconditions illogical and installed the wrong VC ++.
