We are writing to March 31, 2013. For days I roam through the narrow, winding, geschwängerten with fog venues of London. Cricket bat clutching, I leave every day my safe safehouse to collect ammunition, health packs, weapons and the like ...
Today'm back on the road towards Buckingham Palace to get a particular book for the royal physician. Once again I sneak through the sewers, the scanner ever in mind the forthcoming me "Walker" contact signals. My ears are pricked. With half-closed, totally overworked eyes, I try to make out every detail in the light beam of my flashlight. Every suspicious noise I perceive. Suddenly I hear a rustling behind me, immediately strikes the scanner, your blood pressure rises, the hands are wet and clutching cricket bats even more intense. Hastily I turn around 180 degrees ...
To my relief, it was merely a curious rat that a piece must be widely followed me well. A cramped smile flits across my lips and I whisper softly to me: "Calm down ... it was just a rat." At the same time I exhort me to continue my way. It's too dangerous to stay longer in one place in this dark and narrow vault. Nearly twenty yards in front of me shares the vault. From a distance I take strange noises true. Slowly I continued sneaking and opt for the right fork, because it is somewhat brighter and more spacious. After 50 meters I stop and realize for the first time that the schaudrige noise comes closer. I stop and at the same moment strikes from my scanner. I count one, two, three, no four points, the rapidly moving towards me. "My God, I stand by" ...
A nasty foul odor rises in my nose and then I see them ... four undead, hungry for fresh meat, walk in my direction. My hands clasping my cricket bat convulsively. My heart begins to race, my hands are wet, 1000 thoughts flash through my mind. The situation seems completely hopeless. I look wildly around me and I see it ... a small hole in the wall. What may lie behind? More Walker? Regardless, I have to get out of here! I make five steps forward on the walker to and get you perilously close. They are more than 10 feet away from me. I manage to escape and reach the hole at the last second of deaths. I squat down and pike in the hole in the wall lying on the ground. It seems done ... But, what is it? I feel a sharp tug on my right ankle. I hurry around and look in the disfigured face of the undead. He has already opened his mouth and every second bite. Its disgusting breath wafting into my nostrils. But in the face of death, I succeed with his last strength, my left leg shortly to angle, and then leave it in a split second forward again fast. I meet the walker hard on the temple. This I get an first small projection. I Robbe through the gap ... only a few meters from the other end. Managed to quickly out of the hole. I find myself in a small room ... as a door. I want to open it. But no! What is that? It's locked. From the hole the rapidly approaching groans of the undead sounds. I'm running cold sweat on his back, my chest rises and falls at a breathtaking pace. There remains only one more chance ...
I positioned the side of the wall opening, lift my cricket bat, determined to any undead that emerges from the wall opening to crush the skull. The first is imminent, judging by the sound, I would see him equal. I heave the cricket bat over my head. And I can feel the blood coursing through my veins, my temples are threatening to burst ...
Suddenly he appears. With a rapid bat I smash his head. After a final groan, he is freed from his suffering. With the rhythm of a machine, I repeat the process three more times. After that it is scary quiet again and I sack exhausted together ...
This scene accurately reflects the sombre mood in Zombie ZombiU again. Even if the game has at some points plot holes and graphically perhaps a bit more would have been possible - Finally, the Wii U should have more power than a PlayStation 3 - it is for me personally one of the best titles of recent years. Even if you die a few times at the beginning and totally disappointed grumbles about the much overestimated difficulty, eventually starts the phase at which one sees through the whole construct and discovered some strategy behind it.
Warned are those who expect an action-packed FPS here. ZombiU is a survival horror shocker who takes the genre seriously. Here tactics, patience, powers of observation, sense of rhythm and a stable nervous system are required. It is almost unbelievable how exciting it can be to get ten minutes no Zombie in front of face, but to suspect behind every corner a. Sometimes it even makes sense to just run away when one appears. As I said, this is not about a matter of as many zombies identify the Gar, but only and alone survive.
I can recommend this game to anyone who is the atmosphere of a Resident Evil - liked - Part 1. Also there came forth only those who kept a cool head and dealt sparingly with their ammunition.
ZombiU is an absolute must for all the titles that call their own and a WIIU halfway can do something with the zombie genre.
A very strong buy recommendation!
