The inner values of the 311er are for a folding machine of this price range it was good. The Celeron processor (Dual Core) wins today clearly no longer a race but for the usual home-based tasks (texts, e-mailing, surfing, spreadsheet) it is sufficient in combination with the 4GB DDR3 RAM from perfect. Even image processing of high-resolution images with Photoshop are absolutely feasible, even if you have to bring a little more patience with some filter settings.
The 500GB hard drive should provide enough space for most users, it operates quietly and in an orderly pace. If you want to connect external drives, or other devices, place 2 USB ports (one of which is USB3), a port for SD card, an HDMI connection.
The pleasant matte display brings a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels - so only HD, no FullHD. For fast film in between (on trips, just for fun or for research) good enough for me but all!
What to get annoyed with me, were the masses of pre-installed adware from Acer. This could install Acer like to offer as a download option, but clients to express this in advance on the eye, I find a little too much of a good thing. After I had freed the computer from these additional programs, the computer went quickly up by a whopping 10 seconds.
The first device of Win8.1 went the way without any problems certainly the best MS OS since XP.
All in all I am very satisfied with this wonderfully compact laptop. For really small money the perfect companion on the road! If Acer is rethinking its product placement strategy again, I like to give full marks, but the status quo good 4 of 5 *
