The advantage of Netrunner another collectible card game, is that there is no chance in getting cards.
The disadvantage is that it is necessary to follow the extensions one by one.

Personally, I recommend to buy the base game and a few extensions and make a map pack drafter to two or more. You will find on amateur sites rules to play without breaking the bank or having to be on the lookout for the latest extension.
