Very disappointing book. First reading proves laborious or tedious, filled the pages and pages of the same examples, the same or worse abuses of the same decree, the same laws. We quickly pass on the incredible Nazi atrocities and we dwell on the misfortune of poor ethnic Germans. It oozes a violent hatred for the people of countries is that the author tries in vain to conceal. He too wants to demonstrate and strike work. A more balanced approach would have been more productive. A Western mind, too Western forgets he is somewhat risky to judge a terrible time with the eyes and especially the mentality of today. To offset this misreading, I recommend "The barbaric Europe." Book much documented, balanced, intelligent to say everything.
