Here, the Cinderella story is diverted to the futuristic sauce. The back cover gives us to understand that there is Star Wars in this, personally I am never too interested me to these films so I can tell you anything about it. I am however completely left carry in this exotic world where cyborgs, humans and lunar rub all that history is happening in China, New Beijing, which adds an exotic touch to the whole.
Cinder is half cyborg, half human and exercises mechanic profession, she pays her salary to her stepmother who tolerate (barely) in his house since the death of her husband. Cinder finds solace with the food processor Iko and his sister-Peony, who has the heart on the hand. The entire population has to face a pandemic that has yet no cure and which guarantee death to anyone who catches: the létumose. To top it all, even the country's political situation is complicated because the lunar Lévana queen wants to colonize the Earth by marrying Prince Kaito. It is in this context that stretched Cinder will meet Prince Kai is going to need his services to repair a failed robot that has information that could change things.
My reading was tasty and addictive. I am much attached to Cinder, its strong and weak side at a time I liked. It beautiful to be half cycborg it does not stop being sensitive and feel things fully. It also has the temperament as it gets to stand up to the Prince. The secondary characters are tasty. I loved the Kai prince who is humble and honest, completely natural and unaware of his devastating effect on girls. I also liked Peony, one of two sisters-Cinder. I expected to fall at the beginning of a capricious and difficult teenager and ... not at all. It happens in this story very sad things that have pinched my heart many times. I was so into it that I pushed repeatedly exclamations on the train pulling me questioning looks around. By cons I protest violently against the end too open. What is that? There is no end !!
Cinder is perhaps a little bit too young (fast we move on certain events), but I liked this book as it is a great 5/5 for me.
