Not like Super Smash Bros.

PlayStation All - Stars Battle Royale - [PlayStation 3] (Video Game)

Customer Review

The Game came 1 day at us early on and my daughter has already spent some hours.
Review written by my daughter:

Although certain basic features of Super Smash Bros. are present, you can not compare it to the game overall. This has surprised myself. But we come to the game itself.

To defeat the enemy and to be first, you have to meet his adversaries with super attacks. Falls, as in SSB, there are few. One can fall down if you have no ground under their feet and then get a life withdrawn, but you can for example be cast by normal attacks directly from the ring rarely. But it happens.

The Characters: In general a nice selection of different characters (-also if I personally miss some charas as Demi-Fiend or Raidou Kuzunoha;) -), you have to not unlock it (from the DLCs I have no idea).. The game begins with a tutorial that you pervades with Parappa, but may skip. A moment later you can plunge into the story mode either, as I've done it, or prove themselves in tournaments, Team Battles etc.. And here come the first, small flaws.

The menu: part it really is too confusing, the font, windows, etc. so small (I have a bigger screen, yet), you have difficulties in recruiting all / to select. Where we are talking about the settings that you will find, in the battle menu itself, also hidden just right. At first one has a smaller confusion because of the different symbols to represent the enemy including the level.

I've only played with Dante, however, can we get to another point: Who struggles through the story mode, which is equipped with some sequences at the end, which is frown. While one speaks English namely, the responses of the other Chara in German. Does she talk to both in different languages. In Heihachi probably gets even confused, because he seems to have Japanese voice (whether it can change everything, I do not know, I have found nothing.).

Each match lasts 3 minutes. With options to suit up to 10 minutes, longer time-out is not in it. You can also play by trial number.
Who has the option menu found can also set nor subtitles, so as not to be completely in Story mode in the rain. After all, the subtitles are switched from the outset and the settings do not seem to be permanently stored.

Control: Compared with Super Smash Bros. (especially Brawl), a tick more difficult. Do not know if it's up to Dante himself, but everything seems a little support to expire.

A few annoying things: the constant roar of the speaker as soon fills the display of Super Attacks. All the time "LEVEL 1", "LEVEL 2" or "Level 3" having to hear, probably. 4 times in a row because it was filled for all, is annoying in the long run and this too can be anscheindend not switch off.

Graphics: Without a doubt, a beautiful graphics, especially before and in the struggle itself, the effects are great, very well set the background class and the Charas itself in scene.. However, the lack of story mode, I found the sequence before the final battle is not much. It did not go 100% smoothly and the facial expressions and gestures of the characters were not good over, partly stuttering were inside.

Who has good friends with a character and a lot of battles with him denies, gets additional bonuses to adjust, test, etc. This is very interesting, although unfortunately there is in the nature of adaptation itself only a few possibilities. New costumes, new mockery, new intro / outro and music can change.
One can buy a little "mascot" Also, the then makes the struggle for grain accentuation and next to a float before the fight here. Mostly Chibi versions of characters with whom the fighters emulate (Dante: Kat).

Fun: Despite the smaller defects makes the game definitely addictive. The Lv.3 special attacks show some familiar scenes that we know of the characters from previous games. One has to waste a lot of bonuses to unlock (not only Chara adaptation), therefore it is worth to each character through the arena. Sometimes the characters call each other through the length and breadth, and you do not know who has now said something, but I think that one also accustomed.

Sony, if you are planning a "successor", please improve this Mängelchen from :)

Edit to add: Meanwhile, I have tried my luck with Nathan Drake and Raiden. Raiden can be controlled beautifully and is very fast, with Nate I had my difficulties.
