I had a long time switched a Sony Alpha 57 and I'm on the new Alpha77II. Because Sony has decided against good Minolta hot shoe and I for a new flash, which is just as good as had currently my money, I have decided for the adapter. I was surprised that the adapter so stabiel on the camera sitting (of course with a large flash). The only drawback: the adapter is approximately 1.5cm away from the chassis (but is actually clear ......).

Conclusion: cheap, stabiele, full-featured alternative to a new flash unit.
