Welcome back, Sunlight!

The Brand New Heavies are the band of the 90 who set standards with their Acid Jazz hits and her beautiful albums for me. In the 2000s they were indeed never really gone, but the albums lit mainly without N'Dea Davenport no longer completely and were often difficult to obtain. Only the last album, again with N'Dea could build something of the old days.
Now at last is the new album there and basically it can convince in many ways, even if it's just a for me, can show two facets of this great band.
The songs with N'Dea are again a huge success, especially the single "Sunlight" offers perfect vocals paired with a wonderful instrumentation (winds, strings) and with its almost 7 minutes you can in this song the rainy and cold at the moment mood completely Forgot.
"Addicted" or "Do you remember" and go back to the typical SAB-Acid Jazz direction, soulful and funky, all-round success.
There is also a new singer, Dawn Joseph, which contributes quite good songs never approach ("Lifestyle"), but at N'Dea, Jans voice so cuddly as ever ("One more for the road") and Andrew's vocals, which does not quite convince me and "The Way It Goes" and make "Spice of Life" so for me to skip songs.
On the other hand there are good instrumentals (or "fast Instrumentals"), which are ("Turn the music up") could get a little more rock come along ("Itziné") or paired with typical BNH choirs. From time to time they remind me also of Incognito, which sounds sometimes a bit frumpy. And here we also have to point at the album I lack: something new, something special, clearly, some songs to flash as before, but in the long run the soulful, funky acid jazz is on the album a bit too little variety, I miss ballad eskere sounds like it for example in "Shelter", the great album with Siedah Garrett, gave.
Overall, however, welcome back and just "Sunlight" Inserting and the sun let in ...!
