Games are C64 - Times PC games, and of course on different consoles, sometimes more and sometimes less, depending on the time. The true predecessors of this game to this community.
The PS4 I only put me last week, because it is possible simply to swap games and so I had the opportunity to get Thief for free.
Deterred by the recession, but the part are very poor, I wanted to do not buy it and so saw no current incentive for a PS4. The result of this experiment is now ...
The game: (+ a little blah blah blah)
PS4 up, the round thing with a hole in and only once supplied console and game updates. You do not know yes nowadays differently. But Gääähhhnnn time used and 5.1 system again checked to see if everything fits .. Feels too long, finally started everything ready and game and expected the worst.
Unfortunately, my expectations were disappointed bad and I was blown away. Therefore, here now without much blah +/-
+ Graphics - 150% for me met. Mood and atmosphere great. The light and shadow, the mist ... I can only rave about. Although part fall on fuzzy textures, but this is negligible in the overall concept of the graphic / the graphic handle.
+ Sound - In almost every game I'm doing first the background music because it just annoying in the long run. Anders here. The background music is a stem means what is used very dynamic and thus highlights the different situations in the game and is the atmosphere. Also the sound is generally about 5.1 super. (Minus is still below)
+ Save any time + Automatic saving parallel - Super, risky situation, save only once, simply save any more time and go there where you left off. At many points will be saved automatically. These memory locations are created separately from one another and thus are separately available.
If someone by the game appear too simple or too less exciting, I can reassure. There is also the possibility to set it up so that will be saved only at the beginning ..
+ Settings and the resulting difficulty - settings there are enough so that an individual adaptation of difficulty is possible. Starting with the hide of various helpers on sighting, Focus, etc. (I have eg. The auxiliary views investigate the lockpicking and images disabled)
Various difficulty levels to choose from + a specially defined difficulty with specially defined parameters. It can be adjusted real crisp.
Yet a little anecdote about the settings. In the beginning of my bling bling the steal possible objects thrown open (you can also make out), but the longer I played, it made me the Thieving Magpie. Bling Bling, I have to go, that I want, how I get there, open cabinets drawers, hopefully what's inside, bling bling jaaa
+ Backlash - man can if we want Rambo through levels, depending on the above-mentioned settings you made, but you can also try to do the level according to the instructions, or you stick to what Garrett at the beginning about his attitude with regard to the killing mentioned or sets himself goals.
+ Storry - Am not yet, but so far it applies fully my taste. But also wants to betray nothing about the Storry
+ Details - are meant as both graphical as well as playful. eg: field movement while running / races, fog, aufwirbelndes leaves, crack the finger at the castle, which can easily turn the Dietrich at the correct position, so that you do not shake only feedback on the Controller receives but also visually. etc
+ Control - The real time is something of simple and liquid by hand, what makes the game really smooth and so contributes to the atmosphere when one flits through the dark alleys.
+ Puzzles - easy to solve until now and actually varied, but depending on the difficulty and specific objective also crisp
There are also negative:
- Sound - up still praised and yet there is cause for complaint. The spoken dialogue is sometimes too loud. When correcting this in the Audio settings, some are back too quiet. Often there is also a hands-loop so permanently the same repeat the passers / guards.
- Nachladepausen - If you change the area on a map, must be reloaded. Think that should today be any different solvable also demonstrate how other Tietel. This one is taken out of otherwise good game flow.
- Hanging / jerky cutscene - Not often but auffalend
