The first double CD of Katja Ebstein ...

... While convinced by a wide range of hits and rare songs that previously did not exist on CD, but also chaotitisiert any chronology and every musical taste. It is a compilation of the 60th anniversary of Katja Ebstein, who also was a few years ago, now, but that these best-of-CD from the series "The greatest successes, the most beautiful melodies" (practically the predecessor series today 3-CD boxes "Hits and Rarities") is still available commercially, speaks for itself.

CD 1 contains the great successes, all - have already been released on other CDs - except for the bonus track. Be taken into account here, although all relevant "hits" (and even those who should it be, but never really were such. B. "It's back", "The song of my life" or "Evening Wind"), at the same time but it also destroys any listening in that you have jumbled old-fashioned title from the 60s with Popschlagern the early 80 wild. One or the other may like this variety, the most animated, it probably for wild reciprocally back the title. The selection as such is still ok, even if you would have at that time, wanted the release of some key "Hits", which had not yet been released on CD for this compilation.

CD 2 offers just such a mess, but contains the delight of all fans first appeared on CD titles. The early years of Katja Ebstein are here considered as well as the last years of her pop career with Ariola. As Bonusitel there is the English version of the Grand Prix success "Theater" - successful, but it remains a downer.

A CD of the 60th anniversary would have been able to create more loving. The artwork of the cover convinced me not - is basically even quite ugly - and the booklet contains no artist information. Many years have published titles are wrong and the two b / w photos in the inner part are taken from the front covers of other CDs. Creativity was written unfortunately small here.

Overall, however, the true value for money and also the first publications on CD have been well selected. The sound quality is great and therefore this CD is recommended to anyone who is not necessarily a special "anniversary" or "birthday album" expect, but just on the musical diversity from 15 years Katja Ebstein - want to enjoy commercial time.
