The second copy of the pure hardware was then ok (ie here: functional), but it came in spite of all software updates from Acer to a problem: The battery emptied overnight, without the tablet would have been used. Here, too, numerous reports find on the net, the solution is to delete a registry key. In principle, no great effort, but it would be great, though the so-called "support" from Acer knew about communication; the coronation would of course, only to bring a product to market, when it was actually tested and such small items would not even occur. But since Acer is not the only manufacturer with such blunders, it takes its place only in a veeeery long list of other manufacturers. : - \
The operation of the tablet with a touch screen is very good, the screen-even if it spiegelt- all (my) satisfies requirements. Windows 8 looks great on the device, everything works as far as possible in liquid form. I had a Thinkpad Helix (completely different league, Core i7 instead Atom) for a few days of testing here and there it was at the start of play on hangers in the animation, starting apps and really could not with an i7 faster.
I bought the tablet to evening not to have on the couch boot the laptop, only to quickly check my mail and short times to look at my Facebook timeline. The Iconia W510 is good also, outstanding even for this purpose. The other purpose and reason for buying the version with Keydock was the idea about even via Citrix a bit to work - and here the device fails in every aspect!
The keyboard itself is not really the issue, after a little time getting used to get (I get) with the layout along well. But the built-in touchpad spoils me any joy: On multitouch I can do without, but the lack of whatsoever scroll function is completely impractical! Without external mouse can be even websites not browse useful, not to mention the work in documents (Word, Excel) throughout. Even reading mails in Outlook is an ordeal, because something as simple as scrolling with the touch pad does not work!
If I have to read that one can not expect that such features are available for so little money, I can only shake my head: 600, - Euro I would not call it a bargain ...
