This is therefore now the third album of MG, and it differs significantly from the first two, which were very similar to each other. Were in the first albums classically oriented jazz melodies in the foreground with an all in all quiet, somewhat melancholy basic tint, now outweighs the attempt to combine Mediterranean-American seeming liveliness and relaxed joie de vivre with daydreaming. This is not convincing in all numbers. Singing MG's typical way of always knew the soft warbling and twittering, but used it here often no longer more. Just as a musical seasoning, but did it in a couple of songs for my taste too much to the main liner of soup The result is sometimes still a bit thin in substance and in fact just "trilling", and looks too exaggerated, too narcissistic to spun, too extravagant for some songs. However, these two or three songs remain audible, and most of the songs on the album are really nice to listen to. And Lisboa and My Heart Will not Have It Any Other Way - So who are really terrific, atmospheric dense, and develop a hypnotic sounding intimacy that really carries the imagination thereof, and a lively and gifted leaves behind. Great numbers, these two! Especially Lisboa, because everything was done correctly, what could be done right. Thank you for this gorgeous number!
All in all a solid, but in some parts a little too playful acting work, the MG delivers here. For fans anyway a must, but is recommended to be working quite Fangruppe addition. Who yet brave enough to explore MG is, however, better off with the first two albums.
Should they Companye a fourth album in attack, I would hope something more return to classical jazz craftsmanship and a little less Trallafitti.
