LG42LN5758 - My first LED TV - I'm thrilled

Now, after 3 days of use I would like to describe to you my first impressions of the 42LN5758. I was previously a senior user Grundig tube unit and have decided after many comparisons for this device. What I expected or wanted (in order of preference):
- Triple tuner (no attachments even if the connection times change)
- USB recording / TimeShift
- SmartTV (use LOVEFiLM, Youtube)
- Stylish design, slim bezel

I bought the machine directly from Amazon. There is not much to say to shipping and packaging. As usual "today ordered delivered". Packaging as well as unit were outwardly completely undamaged.

About the Assembly requires even lose a few words. The system is self-explanatory and screwed the 8 screws quickly.

Let's get to the first start-up and the tuner:
In principle, the menu system from the first time it is self-explanatory and clear. Select your language, select country network (in my case, cable) set up ... everything straightforward. During channel scan (in my case DVB-C) I have chosen the lump sum Complete "blind search" out of ignorance of the frequencies of my local cable operator. After 20 minutes this was completed and found all the relevant stations (in total 200 +). Missing I do not currently have.
From this point the device did so in principle, first what it is primarily intended to: Show TV.

What is there to say about image?
In general, I was thrilled from the first moment. I feared would "major" by the size and relatively low pitch of ~ 2m SD material look bad. I can not confirm definitively. The first tests with HD material but have then completely blew me away :-) With what I have but rumgeärgert me in the past ;-)
I definitely can not complain.

For sound:
In many reviews I read that the sound is to be very poor. I deliberately ignores because if in doubt just my HTS would have used. However, I must say that it for "simple TV-use" perfect for me enough. It is similar to my old tube radio. Surely just missing when playing music, the deep and throaty bass - but how do you please he is also coming. Anyone who buys a flat screen and a serious attempt to compare the sound with an external system with the separate sub probably missing a little physical knowledge.

My next test included the USB recording and some Mir wichtige- SMART functions. I tested LOVEFiLM, Youtube, the browser and media playback. What can I say: It does. My Fritz box with an attached hard drive are detected immediately and the media playback works. The only drawback in this category: channel switching during recording is not possible - I know from my cable box differently.

Finally possibly something to the channel sorting:
I must admit that I do not know the current systems of other manufacturers. My last experience I have made with my tube radio (at times of analog cable). By comparison, the sorting of LG is a dream.
So I proceeded: All relevant for me Transmitter I first pushed into a favorite group. Is the problem in one fell swoop. Why? In order for the relevant channels are in the huge list more recognizable (ie to the star). After that I just pushed all the channels with star on the first two page. Thereafter, it is easy to produce a desired sequence. The whole thing lasted for 10min ~ 25 relevant transmitter no. So the best of intentions - the complaints about it I can not understand ...

I can currently via the menu or the nonexistent instructions not complain. It has actually all I wanted to work right away and I quickly understood how it is to operate. Being overweight already pretty at first glance the dashboard looks ... So far I have found everything but what I was looking for.

In summary, I really have to say that I have the (long-considered) purchase until now no regrets. Maybe the time is too short for the day to chickens before they hatch - we'll see. If I notice serious things I will of course update here.
