Because the reviewer is the only one who disturbs at a fettverdreckten diameter, indicated at least point out that he's just being picky. But now I know better and see, now there are already disturbing the two machines at the fat on the sausage or bread.
The problem is this fact. While the designers of our old Krupp knew very well that you can take out the knife for cleaning separately from the machine must, one has come with Bosch on the glorious idea to large plastic sprocket the purpose of driving in a small gear engages firmly with the knife connect. Bosch engineers love, let you play your dues !!
What is the problem? Very easily. Thus, the gears do not they have to wear are lubricated with special grease machine. Factory one is quite generous with this fat, so that the inside of the knife was smeared accordingly. If everything is not so bad, but machine grease adheres well, very well indeed. Should it indeed. Thus, you get this fat off only by means of a thorough degreasing cleaning. The easiest way in the dishwasher, because the cleaning by hand is almost impossible because you always again reaches the vicinity of the ring gear and hey presto the knife smeared again. The problem is that then the fat is also at the ring gear away, but there it belongs towards mandatory. Unless you want that the gears wear out quickly.
So what to do? I have fortunately always a cartridge machine grease and a short-bristled brush in the closet. Such can be fitted quite simply the sprocket regrease. Whether the engineers at Bosch out well from the fact that as a utensil is by default available in every household?
Fortunately, we use the slicer as pure bread machine, so we have to the knife rarely clean. After all, but who wants to use the device for cold cuts, cheese etc., which has the following options:
1 way: Getting used to the taste of machine grease.
2 option: Opting out of cleaning and to adjust the cheese consumption on the salami flavor.
3 way: Clean after each cleaning the knife by means of a dishwasher and then lubricate with machine grease (important: do not use any grease!)
4 way: cut only bread, that must be cleaned and greased occasionally.
5 way: give up the fats and ever put aside money for a speedy repair.
6 option: to buy another machine.
Funnily enough, was on the machine a sticker (settled easily, leaving remove) the advertised with a Good Stiftung Warentest. At Stiftung Warentest it seems the taste of machine grease to like;)
But now for the better :)
1. She looks good.
2. It cuts well.
3. It can be (apart from the knife) very well cleaned.
4. The crumbs fall freely into the drip tray, no crumbs in the corners of the machine or around the machine.
5. The cutting thickness can be adjusted very well. The twist grip is stiff enough so as not to adjust by itself.
6. Optionally, continuous or switching moment with accidental activation
7. tilted slide
Conclusion: Actually a great machine that will make but from my perspective as a slicer because of poor cleaning ability of the knife in practice not much fun.
