a tragic fate

Marie Antoinette (Paperback)

Customer Review

Last Queen of France, the most beautiful, the liveliest, most fascinating and least able to govern. It is understood that his tastes, his choices, his total remoteness from reality and his need for personal happiness does not go together with the role of a queen. But this role she had not chosen. She repugnant as it softens and through this portrait (which even if it is extremely well organized and documented for me has too many details that are repeated often in the book) his death under the influence of moves and becomes a guillotine tragedy. She surely not deserved it.
