Complete success, only small weaknesses

Saturday I ordered the Sony DAV-DZ340 system, coinciding with the BDV-N590 from the same manufacturer and the intention to keep the more convincing. Erstgenanntes arrived this morning, first of all praise for the fast delivery.

First, the packaging: Appropriate size, all packed safely, the system would then probably survived a plane crash ... Nevertheless unpacked quickly, easily and quickly build by colored markings of the terminals. To get the sound from the TV program on the system I used a moment, I actually assumed that the TV (Samsung UE40D5000) ARC HDMI dominates. Perhaps he does not, only the cable - HDMI 1.3 (The ARC standard was only introduced with HDMI 1.4), ie connected via SCART to the TV and went already.

The sound is really neat, in the default setting I find the bass a bit pushy, but that one can adjust everything. One should not expect the sound of a Bose, Bang & Olufsen, Harman Kardon or devil-conditioning, but for this price range absolute peak.

A few minor points there that can be however verschmerzt in this price range. It is thus possible, for example with other devices to connect the volume or standby with the TV remote control. So the system is at the same time on the television and the volume changes when pressing the button on the TV remote control - it's not here.
In addition, support the USB port either my iPod, even my phone (Sony Xperia S).
If music played via audio CD or USB and I turn on TV to, the CD / USB Music starts at switch back from the front - so I can not interrupt the middle of the CD and continue listening to there later.
Reverse switching from the first to the last track is also neither CD nor USB possible - a bit annoying if you have for example a USB stick connected with a large music collection and want quick access to one of the rear tracks. Positive: You can create a folder.
Music can be (as far as I know) not wirelessly stream to the device - at least I would have such a function not found. When BDV-N590 (which arrives tomorrow hopefully) this should be possible.
Between USB, DVD and TV, there is a significant difference in volume. So it's already happened to me several times that I've switched at normal TV volume on CD to listen to music and my furniture is flown literally around the ears. But can hardly prevent probably due to different overall volume of the medium.

However Biggest gripe is the speed - both when reading and DVD drive needs the device's time, as well as when switching between DVD, FM, USB and TV. So ever take a few seconds for a sound from the TV picture is obtained after listening to music.
But particularly when switching the songs on the USB device, the system is very slow. It can always be further coils only a song, this is loaded before you can continue to turn. So also goes by like a minute until it is of song 3 song at 15. Select the menu manually: Alternative. For this purpose, however, the TV must be switched on and switched to HDMI.

Sounds like a lot of criticism, but it is not really. The majority of these are small things, the absolute main argument in a home theater system is the sound, and this provides the device with flying colors. The speed could still be a little better, along with the other small points of criticism are the one star deducted. Wen is not too distracting, I can issue a strong buy recommendation for this product, especially considering the price.
