In our comparison of the Clempad has definitely won because of Storio 2 is a closed system and one has to rely on the purchase of VTech apps and games. The Clempad however, can be expanded own app database and with apps and games from a pre-installed third-party Market on the one hand with Apps from Clementoni - "1Mobile Market".
The educational games of Clementoni are not yet particularly numerous, but what is next year, according to a statement on the customer hotline, to change. That there are apps, where all you have to read words right though (about was also complained in another review), but I am of the opinion that the instrument be seen not necessarily as a "sole-employment therapy" for small must. Mom and Dad can also try it with the small or the Apps quiet. As I said ... I hope just yet, that there will be a few more apps next year.
One criticism would be the built-in camera, which has only one Aufllösung of 0.3 megapixels for me. However, this is probably the kiddies anyway still matter.
Here are my pros and cons to the device
PRO:
=======
- Child Benuzteroberfläche and easy-to-use parental surface
- Clementoni apps are good and fun
- Setting life and usable apps and websites in the parents' area
- Memory expansion via Micro SD and read from USB flash drives
- Capacitive Display
- Open for third-party apps (over 1Mobile Market and Amazon App Store - s TIP.!)
CONTRA:
==========
- A few apps from Clementoni
- 0.3 Megapixel Camera
- No front camera for self-portraits
- Built-in battery
Overall, at any rate cuts in our comparison of the Clempad significantly better. Therefore, we can go back to Storio 2. But since we nocht before Christmas can not tell you how our Junior comes with the thing rightly, I rate the device first, in my view and my standards of 4 stars. If our son satisfied the device as well, I will probably increase to 5 stars!

The disadvantage of the "1Mobile Market" is that there are only free, ad-supported apps here, which are provided with advertising links, as has already been mentioned in another review. Unfortunately, there is remove the "1Mobile Market" no purchase option at any on-screen advertising. The original "Google Play Market" is not installed on the Clempad. While such a manual install, but the app unfortunately does not start. It will have been well blocked by Clementoni. BUT: There are also other Android app stores where you can buy apps to remove advertising links. What could be better than the App Store Amazon. There are many ways to complete the installation file on the Clempad get. For example, from a Dropbox account. The Dropbox app is also available in "1Mobile Market".
