Not bought on Amazon, but I've read so far only negative here I write my opinion: I wanted a knife that remains as close as possible to the design of "Slitbar" of IKEA without I buy a bread knife from this series. The design there was a little too clunky and the price a little higher. The diameter of Schulte & shore contrast visually fits surprisingly well with the other Slitbar products, and looks more like the way I imagine a bread knife.
When processing and the cutting results I was, because of the previous reviews, set rather critical and in fact is not gold that glitters: Despite welded packaging had the knife 1-2 points on the blade or me to careless handling after production looked upon storage. These small scratches are visible, however, only if you look closely.
The knife has a slightly bulkier / thicker blade than I thought at first, but I like it very well and makes for a pleasant-stable feel. From the handle I am moderately confident he smells slightly chemistry, I hope this will disappear after a few days / rinsing ... after all, the smell does not stick to hands. Oh, Rinse: Not in the machine! Says on the box, ok for me, my good knife I sink anyway prefer manually. The next notice due to rust has been somewhat irritated me, as soon as the blade starts added rust before him I'll note it here, until then I intend to ignore the note.
Finally, the most important thing:
The knife cuts bread excellent! A first look and the thumb test had little convincing. The first time (to) fixed cutting it has, however, still cut directly into the underlying wooden board, I am therefore quite happy.
As long as the first impressions hold, and I only review facts, the knife from me therefore gets 4 points.
Follow updates as I notice something new.
## Update: After a month of use of the chemical odor of the handle is gone. Nothing else negative, remains at 4 stars.
