Samsung SyncMaster S23A700D:
+ Auto settings are already close to perfect, not, of course (the ASUS VG236HE and the BenQ you spend some time in the first menu).
+ Thanks to the anti-reflective glossy display is not absolutely intense and amazing colors
+ LED and 120Hz
+ Good ergonomics, thin edge, noble-sounding and "adult" style. Very light and only a few cm deep!
+ Good menu navigation and proximity sensors instead of normal keys
+ Shutter glasses is included
+ Gentle reflection, reflects not as extreme as other glossy displays ala ASUS VG236HE (there is not really annoying), but it has still more intense colors and a great sharpness
+ My model had no Backlight bleeding (with TN panel and serial dispersion can be different for each model)
+ Proposal has no streaks or input lag - at least not subjectively noticeable (in BF3 + MW3)
o No 3D Vision from NVIDIA, "only" Trident Technology
o The holder of the display is just not 100%, the Monitor depends so slightly to the left (2-3mm). However, this was at Asus and with my old Samsung the case and unfortunately seems to be common. After 5 minutes of familiarization time it falls, however, not (more) to.
o Non adjustable (I did not bother me)
- External power supply whimpers and had a loose connection (monitor from time to time did not go out to understand and then a few seconds later on).
- Uneven illumination, image on the right side significantly darker (Monday Model can always happen with TN panel)
- Minimal red cast, but can be easily correct by settings
Because of these negative points, unfortunately only 4 stars, but there's always a certain amount of variation within a series and especially with TN panels, the lighting is sometimes suboptimal. I stay the SyncMaster S23A700D still loyal, and hope that I have the second luckier!
