Consequently, I went on a quest to find something Adequate.
Main criteria:
Good sound, treble and bass (played = station display and which titles) can be adjusted manually, RDS, not having to rely on the remote control, a CD player which also plays MP3's and home-burned CD's, low power consumption (and some other things I but not worth mentioning.)
So now bought the Panasonic SC-PM500EG-K system. (For once not on Amazon, sorry! However, I would like to write a review.)
After unpacking connected equal and so tried all sorts of things.
First I noticed the pleasant display. Large enough to read anything can - and with white letters on a black background, which I personally find more pleasant than panties blue or green frog ...
I started then with the station search:
An act myself fringes ...! Unfortunately only 2 whole channels were found by an automatic scan. Pure disappointment!
(Ok, my house was probably built much steel - and the system is in the kitchen, is also with the wire antenna bestückt.Ich could therefore not expect miracles.)
So I have shopped around manually all FM scale by 5-he MHz search steps - and found it to plenty of time!
Have so about 12 stations found in partly reasonably good, sometimes very good quality.
Storing: Proposal has no problem, easy (press program button on the remote control - Select memory - ready.)
Then the tone (bass and treble) set. What came out? A super sound for such a small system with just 2 x 20 watt speakers. More than enough for my small kitchen!
Now, the CD player has been tried:
A front player. The drawer is on a very quiet, looks stable.
The reading an MP3 CD with 140 songs takes a few seconds.
The display shows the track number and the title of the song appears briefly - fine!
Unfortunately, not shown, how many songs are on a CD. (The ancient JVC could!)
Ok, you can skipping - but with over 140 titles skippt you look at the fingers to the bone ..
What struck me uncomfortable:
In MP3 mode or audiobooks you can not fast forward and rewind - especially for audiobooks more than annoying! These begin again at the beginning, so you have to listen to the already heard again ...
What the Display Dimmer should be good, but to me is a mystery ...
It dims the screen display - but why ??? Snowblind you will certainly not by the non-dimming display!
The iPod / iPhone docking Sation is personal for me than liquid water - namely superfluous therefore not tried.
First impression and conclusion:
Noble appearance (all present: from wood (speaker) on piano finish to chrome), sturdy construction, the remote feel very good.
PRO:
Very good sound
User-friendly and very simple operation of the system - both remotely and on the device itself
Many variable Einstellungsmögichkeiten for the entire plant
Legal ordinary manual
CONTRA (and therefore only 4 stars):
No indication how many songs are on a CD
Fast forward and rewind is not possible in MP3 mode and for audiobooks
The clock is not displayed in standby mode, (actually standard - even in Billigstgeräten!)
Subtracting the power cord, go various settings are lost (eg. B. Time)
Although I have now written more Cons than Pros, but:
It seems to me specially good sound of the radio and CD player - and these criteria are to my (of course subjective) complete satisfaction!
CONCLUSION:
I would buy the system again!
