First the positive: The ways to improve the sound in the car, are well managed. Time Alignment set individually for all four main channels, high-pass in steps adjustable incl. Filter slope, 13band graphic EQ with limited global variable quality. Plays MP3s and the usual suspects from USB, SD and CD (no FLAC, as can other Kenwood radios), streaming audio via Bluetooth. Graphic display with many display options, everything was great extent, could be satisfied ... when Kenwood would not have totally messed up again elsewhere: The screen is so dark that it is still difficult to read even at night, because the text hardly the background apart, no matter what color is adjusted. On the day you have to hold your hand over the radio, so that shadow is cast. Absolutely practical unfit. No setting changes something about it. That you can set a dimmer or these can automatically switch the headlights, like a mockery appears there. Continuing with the operation: There are far too few buttons on the device, and those that are off are topped with moronic functions. Why do we need an iPod button? All other sources are selected via the DRC button, even USB drives that are plugged right where the iPod also comes off. Superfluous. There are not even two buttons to jump directly to a folder forward or backward. Every time you have to go through the cumbersome and partly sluggish navigation. Another example of ill-considered application of the operation is the EQ. There are 13 bands that appear on the screen as usual next to each other. So there is to change only two things: to be changed each band (left / right) and then the boost / cut of the band. Now one should think that you can "back song" buttons to choose the band with the "song before" /, finally, show the left and right, and the dial to change the boost / cut. So you can be wrong. No, using the knob, the band is selected, then pressing the knob and can then determine the boost / cut. Now you know it so that you turn to the right and it gets louder. Not so in EQ: A rotation to the right lowers! Completely counterintuitive. Since the device with this screen is completely useless in the car, I'll send it back.
