I had read the Speedlink Gravity X-XE who had NEN cable break from standing around, so this time should other forth. I liked the Genius concept with separate control box, otherwise the systems appeared to be comparable.
Now, you can compare them. The Genius is a good 20 more expensive and worse worlds. The satellites sound like 5-plastic scrap. Total tinny in the high, middle and almost as if, then very unnatural. Real drums should sound like real drums, not like a sheet pile.
Here I am still pleased with the subwoofer. Nice punchy, a typical bass horn, with pressure and still not faded. I thought. Then I pulled out the satellite to connect other (which then also sounded better) - and got to hear the pure subwoofer porridge at the moment. In a sickening Gewaber from Bass with gooey residual sound here. When I stuck my head under the table, hit me the shock. 70% of the sounds go already lost on the way up over the table. If that goes down, probably in half an hour the first neighbor are around the corner and get upset and rightly so.
The best thing about the system is really still the cable concept. Here the cables are namely finally all long enough, because the box where all the cables are plugged in, put on the table and not by the wayside as the subwoofer. Is also logical when the satellite (stand up yeah!) Do not have to under the table, it's enough with the cable. Since the other manufacturers should draufkommen times. Genius, however, should be even deal with it, how to separate frequencies with a crossover and then audibly reproduces with reasonable boxes.
