The first album Stephen Stills, who was not really a beginner, saw his CV (Buffalo Springfield, CSN & Y) is almost better than anything he could achieve before! It addresses all genres here with delight, beginning with the Gospel with the hymn "Love the one you're with" (later taken by Joe Cocker, the Isley Brothers and many others), the ballad Folk and Blues ("Cherokee" and "Black Queen": two great moments magnified by its subtle fingering virtuoso acoustic guitarist) and the West Coast Rock. Note that it is accompanied by Jimi Hendrix, in one of the final appearances of the Voodoo-child of "Old Times Good Times", and Eric "God" Clapton on the following song, "Go back home" anthological ! For those who still doubt the talents of Stills, see the disc with Manassas, just as gorgeous!
