Let's make no mistake about it, this year's summer is a complete disappointment. For months, one looks forward to cozy barbecue parties or boozy afternoons at the nearest quarry, and looks at the end again properly in the tube. Instead autumnal gray and dreary weather wan always you look out the window, even in the month of August, which stops usually ready a big sunburn for each individual. The frustet !!! And I'm dissatisfied with the overall situation !!! Well, fortunately I quite by accident the album "First beer of a new day" of Jaya The Cat get his hands on, and since I can not bear this situation much better. Because with this irresistible blend of melodic hardcore, unconsolidated flaky Ska, wonderfully laid-back reggae and lecherous "feel-good" -Punk skirt can each pick a good piece Summer Feeling in his own home. Or to say the least, this album is a damn cool party disc. And those discs are rare !!! Imagine musicians of NO FX and SKINDRED meet in the rehearsal room of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. And before you know it start the three bands ne huge jam session. Coincidentally, there is next door to the rehearsal room of the birds of paradise of 311, which fast times drop by up to a case of beer, and then of course quickly enter with in the session. The alcohol flows freely, and sweetly scented smoke permeates the whole room. A party of the superlatives !!! The empty beer crates piled up dozens to ceiling high, as you come up with the idea to launch a spontaneous cover versions contest. And so one gambles until late at night down songs from bands like Dog Eat Dog and the legendary POISON IDEA, before you fall into a deep delirium ... Such impressions one has when this longplayer by Jaya The Cat reinzieht itself. And believe me, songs like "Weed in the backyard", "transistor radio", "The Bottle Left Me", "Half Way Home" and the contemplative "Just the way it goes" are simply first-class party-bang before the Lord! !! And this still has the singer a sooo sympathetic speech impediment, making this album a lot much more attractive. Zack ... 4 stars ... and finished the arbor .... Party on !!!!
