Musically we move between the first 3 Samsas dream boards. That's definitely not Weena Morloch, it's too calculating, too cold and too provocative. The lyrics are very reminiscent of the old dream Samsas albums, they are provocative, shocking and disturbing. They get under your skin and leave an unpleasant aftertaste. Something like that sounded once Samsas dream of before Alex turned the project into a completely different direction.
Theoretically Amok is the resurrection of the old Gregor Samsa, basically this record is what have the fans of Alex wished for Samsas dream. But from these roots Samsas dream has dissolved, so it puts Alex on the Weena Morloch rail. The experiment was a success.
The album is definitely not for the faint of heart, but it is definitely worth reinzuhöern.
