about a month ago I have to test the One S, to try and get check.
Here is a small compilation of the most important facts and impressions;)
The housing of the HTC a special Micro Air oxidation coating to make it very robust and stable. This feels very good, especially since it is a small resistance and thus does not slip from the hand.
One hears lately, however, that this coating to flake off, but so far nothing could find them.
With its 4.3 "I find it a bit too big, not much but it makes up for me noticeable For example, I'm not comfortable with one hand in the upper left corner a little thing that bothers me still;..)
With 2 hands, I want a smartphone and do not operate with one hand, it is me not fly down if want to get into the corners)
The design I find partially successful, the up / down buttons are easy to reach, the 3 Soft Touch buttons suffice completely to operate the smartphone. However disturbs me the Standby button, as I did not come to him and pleasant approach to eliciting the HTC just so out of Hibernate mode. It would be desirable, in my opinion, another Home button, or the like.
Android 4.0 with HTC Sense is really great. There are no shocks and not really a wait (of course is also due to the hardware).
Super are furthermore the many setting that brings the HTC with them, including the various lockscreens, weather display, etc.
The One S brings an internal 16GB memory with it, which can not be extended. This is my opinion, however, is not a problem :)
Well what can I say ... 16 GB, or 12, as 4GB go to the operating system and pre-installed apps on it enough for me, and it all works. Similarly, there is really no time to wait around to access content stored.
Also installed internally and not be replaced, the battery, the durchhällt about good 2 days at average use.
Desirable but would be a more powerful battery, if you will, at the expense of 2-3 mm thickness. After all, I find the functionality more important than appearance.
The 8 megapixel camera has just cut me off my feet. Fortunately, I got the HTC shortly before my vacation, so I could use it the same as a camera replacement)
The One S makes my opinion extremely fast, extremely good photos, which can be spice up with really good effects. The camera I find really great, for example, the 1080p videos.
After all, the One S is still a cell phone, a cell phone and what needs to? Exactly, calling and texting)
Both work well, the sound quality is not particularly outstanding, but just little bad. I think it's good enough and mediocrity.
The large display is razor sharp, watch videos and photos are just eye candy;)
Of course you can see the individual pixels when the phone is keeping his eye exactly, but that's usually the exception)
In summary, you get with the One S a good Balanced smartphone with which everyone would have to get along. Nearly 500 are steep, but who has the money ...;)
From me there is still only 4 stars because me little things like the Standby button disturbing that I find nevertheless essential. About these things but everyone has to decide himself.
From my side, thank you for reading :)
and greetings
