I can only recommend the adapter, it is really worth the money!

The adapter fits really great on my Sony HDR-CX570, so that I could mount my Rode VideoMic Pro without problems.
Previously I had a cheaper plastic adapter, which I can only advise.
The thing was okay not clever and determined it was not.
This one really has a decent finish and is made of metal, that is, the part holds.

Conclusion:

Strong buy recommendation, even if it is slightly more expensive than the plastic competitors, it is worth it!
