I use the MC-DC2 with the Nikon D5000. In short: it works, as opposed to a non-Nikon, which I had previously (cost the half, but did nothing). He has a good grip, not too big and can be due to the relatively thin cable also quite neatly stowed away. The cable is at low temperatures, however, quite stiff, which can possibly lead to shake Kammera when shivering depends on cable release itself;)
