I'm excited. As a longtime fan of Williams, I have almost all of his soundtracks on the shelf here and take my hat: This music is not only better than many of the recent soundtracks (Star Wars II, Harry Potter 2), but is characterized by an incredible versatility: Whether modern jazz sounds (much like "Zam The Assassin" from the Star Wars II score) in the "Knight Bus", choral music (has only found at the Williams and for several years his joy), Wagnerian brass splendor, for which we all love him or indeed delicate sounds ... wonderful. Stylistically extends the orchestral part from the Baroque to the late Romantic period, partly as the funny "Aunt Marge's roll" within a piece. Positive To make matters worse still, that the main theme of this film is a beautiful melody that I can not hear often enough. And all this is interpreted crystal clear and accentuated in the usual way from the London Symphony Orchestra. To me, a pleasure and absolutely worth an Oscar nomination (Williams had already long not ...). When John Williams had lived 100-150 years earlier, his name would certainly be one of the greatest. Certainly a purchase, with which one can not go wrong and a must for fans of Harry Potter, film music in general and John Williams in particular ...
