First, one should keep in mind that you need 2 adapters for proper use. In my office I have two network outlets on the wall. These are connected to a router / switch in the basement. A network socket I need for my laptop. The second. For my black / white network printer. Now I've bought a second network printer with color capability. For these two printers I now have only one LAN line moved. I have one of the adapters with two LAN cables connected to my router / switch. With a network cable connector "RJ45 jack to RJ45 jack" (there's also here at Amazon) I have connected the adapter just mentioned to the installed cables. On the "other side" in my office I have the second adapter plugged into the network socket and the two printers each connected to a LAN cable. Everything works fine. And the speed is enough even for simultaneous scanning on Canon printer and printing on HP laser printers.
