Yet this dongle is recommended for full rpi forums ... he has a Realtek chipset RTL8188CUS, you can connect it directly to rpi without using a powered hub. The driver is included in basic Raspbian and the dongle is recognized immediately. BUT, the Realtek driver (! Free moreover) seems poor quality: it seems blocked a connection to 72 Mbit / s regardless of reception conditions ... if you correctly orient the dongle, and are less 2 meters from the access point, ok, everything works. But as soon as you move away, and that signal quality goes below 90%, it's a catastrophe: always synchronized to 72 Mbit / s, but in practice you are less than 500 Kb / s packet ... are dropped in shambles without simply becomes unusable.
I'll test another dongle, based on the Ralink RT5370 and with antenna.
