However, immediately made when using my iPhone4 (iOS 4.3.1) when playing music pops the Zeppelin Air noticeable that sounded like electrostatic discharges. Zeppelin plugs out and back inside did not help. Restarting the iPhone4 also not. If the Zeppelin defective? I read my way through the manual, FAQ on the B & W page, Google. Nothing to find crackling or popping noises. Just received the iOS update to version 4.3.2 out ... if perhaps a bit one of the bug fixes in interaction with Dock Connector? iOS update partly filled, iPhone4 in the Zeppelin's Dock and finally untarnished listening pleasure. No more cracking.
Then the challenge: Firmware Update 1.1.3 play (at delivery 1.0.0) on the Zeppelin Air to described wireless connection problems such as here in the Amazon comments on several occasions to prevent. The MacBook Pro (MacOS X, 10.6.7) no chance. The downgeloadetet of the B & W-side update application detects the connected via USB and located in the firmware update mode (plug out, press the standby button, while plug in, white LED lights = Update mode) not Zeppelin Air. If someone has managed with a Mac, I would be grateful for tips! Fortunately, there is a PC in the home. The PC update application downloaded, but then do not read exactly after installing and starting the software, the major driver installation note. The driver for the Zeppelin Air must be manually selected from the directory where the update software has been installed (!)! So: do read the instructions! Driver installed later from the Control Panel, then the update went smoothly.
The final challenge: the Zeppelin Air to connect via WiFi to your home network. The wrong wireless network selected on the first try by mistake in the drop-down list, so reset the paper clip; then success at the second attempt. If you follow the instructions to the letter (!) * And * paying attention that the WLAN password contains any special characters, then it should work smoothly.
Who reads here on Amazon by all reviews, should experience no big surprises during commissioning of the Zeppelin Air. The only downer is that described already by Happycroco problem: If the Air several hours not used, so it can no longer connect to the WLAN. Plug out and help clean again, but can not be a permanent solution. Here B & W must rework. Hopefully the next firmware update. Aside: Strong Buy!
