I've been looking for a cheap 5.1 sound system for my girlfriend. That's not so easy! There are many devices that promise more than they do, for example, information such as 5000W RMS. 5000W you get for several thousand euros ... RMS means not more than REAL MUSIC SOUND, that has nothing to do with the real performance of the appliance. After I determined 20 units between 50 - 300've looked at, I came to the conclusion, I opt for the Philips HTD 3510/12. ... Little expected .... but get a lot;)
So the device in a nutshell
For the money you get nothing better. Ok then this is probably more a matter of design and brand love and taste. The comparable device from Samsung costs around 300. This does not mean in this case that you buy a pig in a poke here. Since I've seen enough bad examples.
The dishes all have an elastic braid and the housing of the subwoofer is even made of wood, which is the resonance to good. It would be nice if they had equipped the small speakers with wood, but now is not so bad. That's just the problem in this price segment. Think of the price;)
Delivery within 3 days by Amazon - super!
To sound a few words:
We have looked after the installation of the system a movie in 5.1 and were both excited about this mini-system ... especially the small subwoofer has impressed us. But must of course point out that I myself own a 350W active subwoofer and this earthquake machine does not come off the dwarf. For a 20sqm living room, the system is, however, sufficient.
Thanks Amazon and especially thank Philips that you are offering goodies for little money. The Dutch again .... I love them ...;)
